The DTF printer prints full-color, high-resolution designs onto a special film, which is then transferred to fabric or other materials by heat transfer (heat press). DTF technology delivers prints with vivid colors, high coverage, wash resistance and unlimited design possibilities — with no color limitations or minimum production quantity.

Compared to screen printing, DTF has no minimum quantity, works on dark & light fabrics without a separate base layer and delivers unlimited colors in a single print. Compared to sublimation, DTF also works on cotton, not only polyester.

DTF workflow step by step

DTF production follows five steps: (1) printing the design on film with CMYK + white, (2) applying hot-melt adhesive powder via the powder shaker, (3) curing in the cure oven to set the print, (4) transferring to the fabric with a heat press and (5) peeling off the film. With a complete system, the workflow is fast, consistent and repeatable.
