What is a CO₂ Laser Cutter

A CO₂ laser cutter uses a laser beam generated from carbon dioxide (CO₂) gas to cut and engrave non-metallic materials with high accuracy and speed. It is the most widespread laser technology for sign makers, workshops, labs and production lines, as it performs exceptionally on organic and synthetic materials, with a clean, burr-free edge and very good finish quality.

Laser power (80W – 300W)

Power determines cutting thickness and speed. 80–100W covers general workshop use, 130–150W delivers greater thicknesses and productivity, while higher power levels (up to 300W in special versions) are intended for industrial production. Servo or Stepper motors?

Stepper motors are a reliable and economical solution for general use. Servo motors are recommended for high speeds, large working areas and continuous production, delivering accuracy and stability in demanding applications.

Autofocus & software

The autofocus system sets the correct focus according to the material thickness, while the user-friendly Greek-language software works with most design programs, for fast and consistent production.

CO₂, Metal Cut or Fiber?

Standard CO₂ lasers cut non-metallic materials. For cutting thin metal along with non-metallic materials there are the CO₂ Laser Cutter Metal Cut models, while for metal only and greater thicknesses the right choice is a metal cutting fiber laser.

Operating cost

Operating costs include power consumption, cooling (chiller) and optical consumables (lenses, mirrors). Professional CO₂ lasers have predictable costs and a low cost per piece, especially in high-volume production with nesting.

Cut quality & nesting

CO₂ technology delivers clean, burr-free cutting and detailed engraving with consistent results in repetitive jobs. With the nesting function, multiple parts are automatically arranged on one sheet for maximum material utilization and minimal waste, reducing the cost per piece in high-volume production.

Feeding system & CCD camera

In fabric and Velcro applications, the models with a feeding system allow continuous roll cutting, drastically increasing productivity. Combined with a CCD camera, the machine recognizes patterns and accurately cuts printed designs, ideal for industrial textile production.

Safety & ventilation

Professional CO₂ lasers feature an enclosed design for safe operation, a fume extraction system and an external cooling unit. Proper extraction installation ensures clean results and a safe working environment, especially in continuous multi-hour production.

Working area (blade & honeycomb)

The machines feature an interchangeable work table: honeycomb for clean cutting of small pieces without marks on the back side, and a blade table for larger sheets and heavier cuts. This covers every application, from fine engraving to cutting large panels, with consistent quality and production flexibility.

Does a CO₂ laser cut metal?
Standard CO₂ lasers do not cut metal. For thin metal there are the CO₂ metal cut models, while industrial metal cutting calls for a fiber laser.
What thickness does it cut?
It depends on the power (80–300W) and the material — e.g. up to ~20–25mm wood/acrylic at higher power levels. Send us your material & thickness for an exact recommendation.
Which power should I choose?

Net runtime of 6.000-8.000 hours. With proper use and cooling it reaches 10.000+ hours. Replacement tubes €490-€1.450.

Does the special "Metal Cut" version cut metals?

Yes — the Metal Cut versions (€18-28K) with assist air cut thin metal sheets up to 4mm. For thicker metals or production cutting, Fiber Lasers are superior.

What CAM software does it support?

RDWorks or LightBurn. We support import from Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, AutoCAD.

Do you provide warranty & service?

12-month warranty on the entire machine. Service contract option for annual preventive maintenance, spare parts and remote support.
