How to choose a size

UV or DTF?

A UV printer prints on rigid materials (plexiglass, metal, wood, glass). If you want to print on garments & textiles, see our DTF Printers. Many businesses combine both technologies for full substrate coverage.

Print quality & durability

UV printing delivers vivid colors, high detail and excellent adhesion on most surfaces. The result is resistant to aging, water and abrasion, making it suitable for indoor use as well as limited outdoor use.

White ink, varnish & special effects

Beyond CMYK, UV printers use white ink for full coverage on transparent or dark materials, as well as varnish for glossy or embossed effects. This lets you create value-added products — from premium signage to personalized gifts with texture and gradients.

Operating cost & payback

UV LED technology has low energy consumption and a long LED lamp life. Combined with direct printing with no drying time and no intermediate steps (stickers, heat transfer), the cost per piece is low and productivity is high, making the investment profitable for an active sign shop or small manufacturer.

Space & installation requirements

The space required depends on the machine size — from a workbench for the A3 to a dedicated room for the 2513. A stable base, ventilation and a proper power supply are required. We handle the installation and set up the color profiles (RIP) for excellent results from day one.

RIP software & workflow

UV printers work with professional RIP software that manages the color channels (CMYK, white, varnish), color management and the print order. The workflow includes: designing or importing a file, setting the head height according to the material thickness, selecting the ink profile and printing. With correct setup, the result is consistent and repeatable, even across different substrates in the same production run.

Print head maintenance

Like any professional printer, a UV printer needs regular print head maintenance for consistent quality. With proper cleaning, quality inks and preventive checks, the heads maintain high performance and a long service life. We provide technical support and spare parts to keep your production running without interruption.
